A lack of common processes and systems among government, industry, small businesses, and private investors hinders collaboration which slows investment in and delivery of new technologies. Tech Plan drives collaboration and communication between stakeholders, guiding them through technology transition using best practices. Stakeholders can define work that needs to be done, identify resources needed, monitor the project in progress and re-plan when changes need to occur.

JADE

The Joint Activity Design Evaluation (JADE) Platform affords early, efficient validation of a specific technology, process, or other support intervention before it receives significant investment. 

Problem

The DoD’s inability to efficiently assess the impact of innovative interventions is putting technological advancements at risk.

• Current approaches distill performance evaluation down to individual human or autonomous agents operating in routine situations, which underestimates the impact of inter-agent interactions and interactions with changing complexity in the world.
• Our approach evaluates the “joint system” of human and autonomous agents in context to account for interactions between agents and the dynamic world.

COVID-19 Dashboards

A collection of decision support tools that communicate various AI/ML forecasting analytics to inform base commanders and local government decision making relative to COVID-19.

The unprecedented events of the COVID-19 pandemic created significant challenges to employing risk mitigation interventions at military bases and in local communities. Our COVID-19 dashboards visualized rich data analytics using different frames of reference necessary to support base and local health authority decision making. These visualizations surfaced patterns in AI/ML outputs developed by Air Force Research Lab and academia (e.g., MIT, AFIT) to inform selection, application, and monitoring of interventions.
